Estancia Tecka Lodge -Patagonia Argentina Trout Fishing

No other lodge can boast 96 miles of private trout water like Estancia Tecka.  The main river is the bolder strewn Corcovado which drains Lago Vintter and changes its name to Rio Palena as it passes through Chile on its way to the Pacific. From drift boats, guests will fly fish for larger than average Brown, Rainbow and Brook Trout on 15 different stretches of the crystal clear Corcovado River, all of which are within the property. Hooking 20” trout is a daily occurrence on the Corcovado.
Rio Tecka is a delicate, wade only spring creek running across miles of the eastern side of the ranch. A 5 weight rod rigged with terrestrials is all that is needed to connect with some incredibly hard fighting 15-16” Rainbows, Browns and Brookies. This private gem also consistently produces from surprisingly large Brown Trout usually found in the deeper holes.  More quality dry fly fishing can be had on several other spring creeks on the ranch.  For more variety, anglers can venture to a nearby private lake system where large Brown Trout have made visible pathways through the shallow grassy bottoms.  Skating hoppers and mice is a favorite technique on these pristine lagoons. Accessing any trout water on the ranch can take 10 to 60 mins by truck.
Lunch on the river can sometime mean a full blow chef prepared barbeque of grilled meat and veggies on a skillet or on a rotisserie powered by the river current. The classic country dish Pollo al Disco is also slotted for at least one riverside lunch during the week.
