The Esquel region of Patagonia Argentina is world renowned for its varied and prolific trout fisheries and Argentina Waters has an ideal program for first time and returning anglers to the area. The lodge is perfectly located to sample trout waters in Esquel, Alerces National Park and Rio Pico. Most of the rivers are floated while a handful such as Arroyo Pescado and the Correntoso are all walk and wade. The varied fishing options means that despite conditions, there are always productive waters within reach and repeating any river is by choice.
The food and wines are superlative, but this is really a fishing focused program that skips the finer amenities found at higher priced Patagonia fishing lodges.

The Argentina Waters operates a cozy hand-built lodge in on a secluded shore of Laguna Larga amidst the Andes Mountains. They can accommodate up to 8 anglers in four comfortable bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, some of which have private balconies. Guests can enjoy tours of their flower and vegetable gardens, relaxing on their terrace or at their bar. For convenience, Argentina Waters can provide breathable waders and boots to suite any size and their small fly shop is stocked with flies, leaders and tippets.
Your hosts, Gonzalo and Laura are professional trained chefs and delight guests with culinary masterpieces that are thoughtfully paired with fine Argentina wines from Mendoza and Patagonia.
Argentina Waters’ fishing program spreads across three distinct areas, Alerces National Park, Esquel and Rio Pico. While the guides will know where to concentrate efforts with respect to conditions, a typical sampler program would be 2-3 days fishing within the Alerces National Park and 2-3 days fishing around Esquel. Rio Pico is always an option for those willing to spend at least 2 nights at their small private house in Rio Pico. The diversity of waters means anglers can fish how they wish, be it sight fishing, match the hatch, hopper dropper rigs or dredging the depths with steamers.
Argentina Waters weekly programs and can be conveniently paired with fishing at Cinco Rios Lodge in Chile, Estancia Tecka Lodge or with Natural Anglers.
