WINE TOURS: Argentina - Mendoza

The Valle de Uco Lodge is a special place to relax in style while exploring the most desirable areas of the Mendoza Wine Country.  This exclusive 15-acre resort  is centrally located in the Uco Valley, about ten minute’s drive west of the town of Tunuyan.  Malbec vineyards surround the Valle de Uco Lodge and tree-lined paths flanked by small streams, fruit orchards, rose gardens, and rolling lawns, are all outlined by stunning views of the snow-capped Andes.

Valle de Uco Lodge has an large dining and living room, wine bar, library with satellite TV, an office with internet serivce and a wine cellar.  An outdoor grilling area is complete with an authentic mud oven for baking delicious empanadas and other South American specialties.  Our favorite room is the large, modern kitchen, designed for parties and cooking classes.  

Between it’s two buildings, Valle de Uco Lodge has eight guest suites  that can accommodate 16 guests.  Shaded by massive old-growth trees, the suites form a sort of U-shape around the manicured lawn, patio, and swimming pool.  Also on the property is private, recently restored abode farm house that can hold an additional 4 adults or a family of 6.

Wineries near the Valle de Uco wine lodge are Bodega Salentein, Bodega J&F Lurton, Bodega Clos de Siete/Monteviejo, Bodega O. Fournier, and Bodega La Celia.  A number of new wineries are currently under construction around the valley.
