The region is also known for its strong, relentless winds; however, the weather seems a minor detail when compared to catching multiple trophy Sea Run Browns in a single day.

The Rio Grande is loaded with beautifully colored Sea Run Browns averaging 12 lbs and reaching up to 30! Fly Fishing Tierra del Fuego is done with floating lines and swinging nymphs plus sink tip lines with weighted leech patters. Each guide has their preferred methods for success, yet we encourage any experienced angler to test their instincts against this coveted quarry.

While fly fishing Tierra del Fuego with us, you'll enjoy 7 nights of fine lodging and 6 full days of guided fishing. Depending on conditions, a different style of angling is possible on the Herminíta River, where light rods, and small flies are used to catch resident rainbow and brown trout.

The owners of a major portion of the river are two bothers, Jorge and Fernando Carreras. Thanks to the Carreras family and their managers, anglers are able to access many portions of this famous river not just the portions flowing through the lodges property. The river is regulated to ensure private access to particular beats and a strict catch and release policy has increased the numbers of Sea Run Browns dramatically in recent years.
