One of the many advantages guests enjoy with Fly Fishing Patagonia is that we are not bound to any lodge. Instead, we have picked our favorite fishing areas south of Esquel and can customize the perfect trip for an individual or large group.

The variety of lodges in the Central Patagonia range from luxury, riverfront fishing lodges to 4-star alpine cottages on remote mountain lakes to modern yet rustic cabins.

LODGES IN ESQUEL

CHALLHUEQUEN LODGE

The new Challhuaquen Lodge boasts a prime location and a superior level of service rarely found in the Esquel area. The lodge is perfectly situated on the north banks of the Rio Grande (also called the Futaleufu) in Esquel, Argentina, just south of the Alerces National Parks. The Rio Grande is considered by many to be one of the finest angling rivers in Patagonia, holding a large population of rainbow and brown trout.

The lodge was created by anglers for anglers and was designed for the most discriminating international traveler.

All personnel from head guide to chef are highly qualified professionals intent on making your stay exceptional.

The Challhuaquen Lodge is equipped with six double rooms each with private baths and views of the Rio Grande. The lobby has a full bar and well-stocked fly tying bench. The final touches of the luxury lodge are the full spa services with sauna, Jacuzzi and massages.

LAKE CABINS

When we fish the Rio Pico area we stay in newly built lakeside cabins. The accommodations are spacious and simple with modern conveniences such as hot showers and a full bath. Most of the meals are cooked on the grill and fishing is the prime focus here. This is not a destination for anglers needing amenities of a full service lodge, however, is an excellent choice for the angler with one thing in mind: hardcore fishing!. We usually stay here 2 or 3 days and move on to another location.
